چکیده
ABSTRACT We present Hubble Space Telescope imaging of a pre-explosion counterpart to SN 2019yvr obtained 2.6 yr before its explosion as type Ib supernova (SN Ib). Aligning post-explosion Gemini-S/GSAOI image, we demonstrate that there is single source consistent with being the progenitor system, second candidate after iPTF13bvn. also analysed Spitzer/Infrared Array Camera (IRAC) imaging, but do not detect any counterparts at location. was highly reddened, and comparing spectra photometry those other, less extinguished SNe derive $E(B-V)=0.51\substack{+0.27\\ -0.16}$ mag for 2019yvr. Correcting dust reddening, determine this log (L/L?) = 5.3 ± 0.2 $T_{\mathrm{eff}} 6800\substack{+400\\ -200}$ K star. This relatively cool photospheric temperature implies radius 320$\substack{+30\\ -50}~\mathrm{ R}_{\odot}$, much larger than expectations stars trace amounts hydrogen in agreement previously identified IIb systems. The system binary star models undergo common envelope evolution, leading primary mass mostly depleted still seemingly conflict classification had signatures strong circumstellar interaction late-time (>150 d) so consider eruptive mass-loss evolution scenarios explain spectroscopic class, counterpart, dense material. hypothesize apparent inflation could be caused by quasi-photosphere formed an extended, low-density envelope, or matter around

The Peculiar Type Ib Supernova 2006jc: a Wc Star Explosion
We present a theoretical model for Type Ib supernova (SN) 2006jc associated with a luminous blue variable (LBV)-like event. We calculate the presupernova evolution of the progenitor star, hydrodynamics and nucleosynthesis of the SN explosion, and the SN bolometric light curve (LC). The observed bolometric LC is constructed by integrating the UV, optical, near-infrared (NIR), and midinfrared (MI...
متن کاملKPD 1930 + 2752 – a candidate Type Ia supernova progenitor
We present spectra of the pulsating sdB star KPD 1930+2752 which confirm that this star is a binary. The radial velocities measured from the Hα and HeI 6678Å spectral lines vary sinusoidally with the same period (2 h 17 m) as the ellipsoidal variability seen byBilì eres et al. (2000). The amplitude of the orbital motion (349.3±2.7 km s −1) combined with the canonical mass for sdB stars (0.5M ⊙)...

متن کاملSN 1996N - A type Ib supernova at late phases
We present photometric and spectroscopic observations of the Type Ib supernova (SN Ib) 1996N in NGC 1398. The supernova has been observed at several occasions between 179 and 337 days after discovery. The light curves in V , R and I have decline rates of 1.67±0.23, 1.72±0.10 and 1.93±0.24 mag (100d)−1 respectively, substantially faster than the decay rate of 56Co. The late light curves of SN 19...
